Most adults who come to me for weight loss have tried many diets only to find they regain weight when they return to old eating habits. You may feel that you know what you should eat, but can’t seem to stick with it and wonder if you will ever get your weight under control. Permanent weight control requires a personalized and comprehensive approach to address not only what you eat, but also why, when, how, and where you eat. Lasting solutions must take in to account the reality of busy work schedules, family and business travel, eating out and the challenges of cooking dinner night after night.
I will work closely with you to develop an individualized food and activity plan and learn to interpret your body’s hunger and fullness signals in order to move towards a more intuitive relationship with food. Spouses and significant others are welcome to attend sessions and help plan a healthy lifestyle together.
Weekly sessions are helpful in the beginning to establish new patterns and to provide support and information. Email contact is encouraged between sessions, and phone appointments are available for those who travel or have busy work schedules.
